Overview

Mango Bay Beach Hotel is situated alongside a quiet beach on Barbados' beautiful west coast. The beach is safe for swimming and offers many secluded nooks and crannies for stretching on a towel or a sun lounger in search of a tan. Beach umbrellas and chairs are provided free of charge by the Mango Bay.

There is also an excellent range of free water-based activities at the beach including water-skiing, snorkelling, hobiecat sailing, kayaking and pedalos.

Away from the beach there is a lounge area with a large TV for catching up on the news or a favourite programme. A library, games, and a computer with access to the internet are also provided. A freshwater pool is available for use between 6am and 8pm.

Whilst visiting Barbados it is worth checking out the various attractions which are available on the island. Bridgetown, the capital, is about 25 minutes away by car and offers a wealth of shopping and dining activities. There are also many reminders of the strong links between Britain and Barbados, in the shape of historic buildings and names which are left over from the days when the island was a British possession. As well as Bridgetown, the nearby resort of Holetown offers a choice of bars, restaurants and fashionable shops.

For those who wish to maintain their fitness regime whilst on holiday, or would like to try out some new exercise, the hotel has a small gymnasium which is fitted out with free weights and some cardio machines. The fitness room is available for use 24 hours a day.

A holiday should be a time for enjoyment and relaxing and, if you get the chance for some pampering, you should include that as well. At the Elements Spa, the hotel provides a range of spa and beauty treatments designed to pamper and relax.

The Mango Bay Hotel's restaurant is superbly situated on the beachfront, with guests having a choice of indoor or outdoor eating. The three main meals of the day plus afternoon tea are served here, with musical entertainment being provided each evening. Menus vary and can be buffet-based or table d'hôte. Dishes are based on Caribbean and international cuisine.
