The Golden Nugget is one of the oldest hotel-casinos in Las Vegas and is situated on Fremont Street, about 2 miles north of the Las Vegas Strip. This part of "Old Vegas" as the area is known, is not quite as pricey as the main Strip area with accommodation, restaurant and bar prices being a little more reasonable. There is a tremendous choice of bars, clubs, restaurants and casinos to choose from too! Fremont Street attracts thousands of visitors nightly due to its nightly light and sound show called the Fremont Street Experience.
