Overview

Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa, a premium all-inclusive resort, is situated in the extreme south east of St Lucia. It is best described as two resorts in one as there is the 'Harmony' wing which caters to adults only and the 'Splash' wing for families and the young at heart. It is fronted by a fine sandy beach that stretches away in the distance for a mile and offers the opportunity for water sports or simply lounging on a deck chair in the shade of a palm tree.

In fact guests at the Coconut Bay Beach Resort can do better than a deck chair as the resort has hammocks and cabana beds for the use of its guests. The adventuresome can try their hand at wind surfing or the possibly even more exhilarating sport of kite surfing. Full instruction is offered to those who need it.

Away from the beach the resort takes on two different personas. Harmony is an adults only wing which offers its occupants the chance to enjoy a more tranquil and relaxing time at their own pool and bar.

Splash, on the other hand, is the family wing where the activities are many and the children can make as much noise as they like.

The resort's five swimming pools provide much of the entertainment during the day and many activities are centred on them. For example, the aptly named Activity Pool is the venue for impromptu games of water volleyball or a session of water aerobics. The family Pool is especially favoured by youngsters as it has a fountain and waterfalls. There is also a swim-up bar for this pool.

Outshining these, however, is the Waterpark, the largest in all of St. Lucia. Here young and old alike can float down the Lazy River on a tube boat or hurtle down one of two huge water slides, the Twister or the Coconut Cannon.

If you have any energy left you might want to have a game of tennis - there are four courts to choose from. A fully-equipped fitness centre will keep the keep-fit enthusiasts happy and there are yoga and aqua aerobics classes available.

As if that wasn’t enough, the resort has a new paintball area called The Zone.

Children are well-catered for at the resort as, in addition to the activities mentioned above, they also have their own club, Cocoland. The club provides supervised fun and games to give the youngsters a chance to get to know each other and to have a break from their parents – and vice versa!

The Kai Mer Spa at the resort has spa and beauty treatments to suit everyone. Whether it’s a massage or a full body wrap treatment the spa will be happy to organise it. Hair care and manicures are also on the spa menu. Please note that the spa is not accessible to anyone under the age of 17.
